The Mother of all mothers (Inspired from Mother’s Day Celebration)

Mother and Child

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I [God] will not forget you!” (Isa. 49:15)

The above scripture has come to make me know that a mother can indeed forget the child at her breast-not necessarily through any fault of hers but probably by reason of an accident or health condition leading to amnesia. Though she may forget, the chord of motherly compassion is the one powerful thing that would bind them together, no matter the depth of amnesia. This is deep spiritual matter. But yet, there is a Mother who has made it clear that as strong as this bond is between a mother and her child, His love for us is much deeper than that. Selah.

We have been made in our Mother’s image, we are born from our Mother’s Spirit, and we are fed daily from our Mother’s ever flowing Milk of compassion. Our Mother binds us up when we are wounded and shields us from harm. Our Mother encourages us and hides us from pending danger.

‘I will be with you till the end…for I have loved you with an everlasting love’

Other mothers find time to catch a nap for a few hours, but this our Mother neither slumbers nor sleeps- watching over us day & night. And when the time is right, our Mother pushes us out of the nest to dominate and rule like we were meant to.

Other mothers will not be with us till the end, but Our Mother has promised ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you…I will be with you till the end… for I have loved you with an everlasting love’

How best can you describe a Mother?

To the Mother of all mothers-Jehovah Jireh (My Provider), Jehovah Nissi (My Banner).

Well done, very well written! I just have one question, when you say "To the mothers of all mothers" just exactly who are you reffering to?

Thank you Kizzieful for your comment/compliment. I really appreciate this. To your question; When I say "Mother of all mothers", I am simply referring to God Almighty.

He mothers us his children (as well as all of His creation) and fathers us too. That is how I see, know and feel Him.
